Victorian duty considerations

A nomination can have Victorian land transfer duty consequences depending on the circumstances of the transaction.

In particular, additional consideration, land development or arrangements entered into after the original Contract may affect the duty treatment of the transaction.

The purchaser and proposed nominee should satisfy themselves as to the duty and taxation consequences of the proposed nomination before proceeding. Victorian Property Settlements acts for the vendor and does not advise the purchaser or nominee about their taxation or duty position.
