For purchasers, conveyancers and solicitors requesting access to the property before settlement where Victorian Property Settlements acts for the vendor.
Request access before settlement
Use this form where the purchaser wishes to access, enter, use or occupy the property before settlement outside the ordinary pre-settlement inspection arrangements.
Please tell us who requires access, why access is required, when it is requested and what will occur at the property.
This form can be used to request:
- access to take measurements;
- access for a tradesperson or contractor;
- quotes or further inspections;
- delivery of goods before settlement;
- access to carry out agreed works;
- early occupation or possession; or
- another form of access before settlement.
No access is authorised by submitting this form
Submission or receipt of this request does not give the purchaser, any contractor or any other person permission to enter, occupy or use the property.
No access should occur unless Victorian Property Settlements confirms the vendor's agreement in writing and any conditions imposed by the vendor have been satisfied.
Early possession is different from ordinary access
A request to occupy the property, store possessions at the property, move furniture into the property, receive keys or otherwise take possession before settlement may require a separate written licence or other arrangement acceptable to the vendor.
Do not arrange removalists, deliveries, contractors or occupation on the assumption that the request will be approved.
