Victorian Property Settlements

Settlement Date
Change Request

For purchasers, conveyancers and solicitors requesting that the vendor agree to bring settlement forward or extend the settlement date.

Request a different settlement date

Please complete the form below where the purchaser wishes to change the settlement date contained in the Contract of Sale.

The information provided will assist us in obtaining instructions from our vendor client and identifying any practical issues arising from the proposed change.

Use this form to request:

  • an earlier settlement date;
  • an extension of the settlement date;
  • a change connected with lender availability;
  • a change connected with purchaser readiness;
  • a change affecting vacant possession, occupation or access; or
  • another agreed arrangement associated with the proposed new settlement date.
!

Important

Submission or receipt of this form does not change the settlement date or vary any provision of the Contract of Sale.

The existing settlement date and all other contractual obligations continue to apply unless Victorian Property Settlements confirms in writing, on the vendor's instructions, that the requested change has been accepted.

Please make sure the proposed date is realistic

Before requesting a new settlement date, the purchaser's representative should consider whether the purchaser, lender and PEXA workspace can be ready on the proposed date and whether the change may affect vacant possession, tenancy arrangements, access, adjustments or other obligations under the Contract.
